Trump has developed Covid-19 antibodies
STAFF REPORTS
President Donald J. Trump has developed antibodies to Covid-19, according to the White House physician, Navy Cmdr. Dr. Sean Conley.
In a memo to press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, Conley reported that the President’s laboratory results show SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies from blood drawn Monday.
“He’s now been fever-free for more than four days, symptom-free for over 24 hours, and has not needed nor received any supplemental oxygen since initial hospitalization.”
Conley is a doctor of osteopathy. Those with a DO degree instead of an MD degree are surgeons and doctors with the same privileges as MDs, with an additional 300-500 hours of studying how to manipulate the musculoskeletal system.
Conley was criticized during the President’s stay at Walter Reed military hospital for being evasive on whether Trump had been on supplemental oxygen. He corrected the record later, stating he was aiming to reflect the President’s upbeat mood with respect to his diagnosis.
“I feel great!” the President said this morning, according to Conley’s Oct. 7 memo.
On Monday Oct. 5, Business Insider published an article quoting doctors speculating that Trump may be more ill than previously thought, or “over-treated” for Covid-19. Read here for counterargument.
